Rynda - June 2011
After 15 year in Kola, it is always a special feeling when we fly over the Tundra in the helicopter. Has the fish arrived in the pristine and beautiful rivers up at the border to the Barents Sea? One of Peter Power camps in the Atlantic Salon Reserve is the home for us the following week, Rynda Camp. The camp manager Nicolay which us welcome and we was all given a private hut with bathroom.

What a camp and what a standard they put on it all. From food, drinks, staff and guides. As Bjørn said it, all they can control is 100% and he is right. From boats to helicopters, all in peak condition. All is neatly put together to work perfectly by Nicolay. We rotate between the beats and rivers, yeas we use Zolotaya also for fishing, a smaller river 15km away. The helicopter wait for us there vile we are fishing. At arrival the river was huge due to very hot weather, but dropped of 10cm every day.

I got a 108cm the first day in Sea Pool and Harald did well too. Tore and Bjørn got fresh fish in Zolotaya on Tuesday. On Wednesday the valley was baptized Costa del Rynda when we got up to 31c, luckily there was wind that day, the mosquito was around the corner in weather like day. But the next day it was down to 8 again and fishing picked up. Last day Frede and me had a stunning morning with some fresh, big fish landed from just below the camp and Nils broke the loss of fish spell he had been dragging around with all week. All got fish that week and we will all be back next year to this fantastic place on the Kola Pinisula. The competition between us and the guides the last evening demand revenge.
